I absolutely love the colors in this picture and the reflections in the water. The angle you took the picture at is perfect. You also did a good job with the DOF.
There's only a couple things that I would fix about this picture. You could probably try upping the exposure and/ or contrast just a tad to bring out the colors a bit more. Also, I feel like this scene would be better if the rocks were more centered in the frame, giving it a bit more symmetry. All in all, though, great job!
This is a beautiful photo that caught my eye from the first I saw it! I love the colors, the serene mood of the piece, and how the rocks in the foreground seem to invite you in.
I feel this piece works very well compositionally. The treeline is well positioned about a third of the way from the top. The rocoks and the clouds (both in the sky and reflected on the water) form subtle lines that pull the eye into the work.
I love the warm serene lighting and how the sunlight on the right is balanced by the clouds lit on the left. Is that rain I see coming down? It adds to the photos beauty.
I had to think for a while to come up with any criticism or suggestion for improvement. Honestly, I am loathe to suggest changing anything and disrupting the beautiful work you have created. Perhaps the foreground could be lightened a bit? It could be my monitor settings, but it appears that sixth of the photo is almost completely dark. Perhaps upping the light and contrast just a touch would look even better.
Once again, a very beautiful photograph that I would love to step into!
